Okay my fellow Misers, it is time to plan for this upcoming year.

I know, I know, I know. I have not been the best role model and have not posted consistently. But I am going to do better going forward. I am committing to improving myself each and every day and this is part of that commitment.

So looking ahead to 2020. In terms of the money that I would like to save by the end of 2020, I would like to do the following:

Savings

12443

In Wealthfront, my goal is to hit $15,000 by the end of year. This is definitely doable. I will do a post later on Wealthfront. It is solid.

When it comes to Fundrise, this is more of a long term investment vehicle with a real estate focus. Fundrise is a REIT. It is a new product so I’m trying it out. I plan to contribute $1,000 per month into it and see what the return is.

I also like to trade stocks options here and there. So, I will be funding my TD Ameritrade account this upcoming year. I will not be using this account to buy and hold stocks. Instead, I plan to use it to trade options. I plan to be more active in trading options in 2020, as I had good experience or maybe luck in the past.

For my savings account I am just aiming to have $10,000. I hate having money just sit there. My money needs to be making money. But I also need to have a safety net just in case. So, I am going to aim to have just $10,000 in there. If I get over $10,000 in my savings account, I will distribute it out among my other accounts for added savings.

Overall, this is very doable for me. The reason that the numbers work out the way they do with my contributing $1,000 per month but with an end goal of $15,000 for some of the accounts is because I expecting a windfall in 2020 that I will add to this.

401k and HSA are all pre-tax contributions and targets that I definitely plan on hitting. So hopefully, I am able to stick to the plan and make progress towards becoming financially free sooner rather than later.
